Biennial Ski Trip
The ski trip is run every two years and is open to all pupils in Years 7 and 8. This allows all children to be able to go on both the ski trip and the French exchange should they so wish.
The party is usually about 50 people in size and places visited in the past have included: Courmayeur in Italy, St Johan in Tyrol in Austria and, more recently, Chatel in France.
The trip runs as soon as we break up for the Christmas holidays and so the return is usually about the 23rd December - just in time for the turkey!
All skiing is Alpine and children of ANY ability can be catered for. Class sizes are usually around ten pupils and are always good fun. Pupils are placed in classes dependent on their own ability and this ensures that everyone receives the best instruction from learning the basics for the beginners to more advanced techniques for the more able ones.
There is always plenty of time in the evening for Après Ski and activities offered in the past have ranged from treasure hunts, to bowling, ice-skating, pizza nights and even a karaoke!
The trip is a fantastic ice breaker (excuse the pun) and works as an excellent catylist for promoting inter year and form relationships as well as being a fun experience.
