Core ValuesThe strong sense of community at Ranby House School is underpinned by the six Core Values. These provide all members of the community with guidelines for their behaviour and treatment of one another. Based on Christian principles, the Core Values are as follows:
Show RespectBe HonestListenForgiveBe Kind and HelpfulAlways Do Your BestThe pupils are helped to learn and understand these expectations through Assemblies and Chapel Services, where their importance is explained and demonstrated in a variety of ways, often by the pupils themselves. The Core Values provide a helpful way for staff to praise pupils for their good behaviour and to encourage pupils when their behaviour needs to be checked or changed.
The Core Values work alongside a comprehensive Manners Charter which encourages the pupils to develop good manners in a number of areas of school life. Whether it be politeness in speaking and listening, respectful behaviour in classrooms, the Chapel or the Dining Room, or the way to move around the school, the Manners Charter provides good advice. |
